Since making this complete 180-degree change and becoming a McDougaller, I’ve lost 92 pounds (and still losing); gone from a size 22+ (at my heaviest during chemo) to a current size 8; all my scans and blood work show that I am cancer-free and I am healthier than I’ve ever been in my life!

Before surgery and before I started on a WFPB diet my CA-125 (Cancer-Antigen 125) marker was 750. A normal marker is anywhere from 10-30. During the 30 days on a WFPB diet my CA-125 marker went down. It was measured every week. It went down from over 700 to 30 on the thirtieth day of the diet. It was within normal range within 30 days.

I was hemorrhaging with painful fibroid tumors that needed to come out, said the ER doctors, who were also recommending a hysterectomy and ovary removal ... I called my gynecologist that day she said to just sit tight until she could meet with me. When we met, she said, “Why don’t you go back to a low-fat, plant-based diet.” I took her advice, and within a month all my symptoms (painful fibroids, headaches, symptoms of fibrocystic breast disease, and even hot flashes) were gone.

I have been eating a totally plant-based, vegan diet for seven months and have not had any more pelvic trouble! Wow! What power the information that Dr. McDougall is teaching can have for women’s health. Just think, no more messy creams. No more painful PMS symptoms. No more headaches. Just eating fiber and low refined sugar and no dairy or meat. I wish I could shout from the rooftops to all women that diet makes all the difference for their women’s health issues!!
